Inside The Squire

In-between guest changeovers we managed to get our photographer in to take some photos of The Squire to share with you all - more photos of our other cottages, The Franklin and The Knight to follow. (You can already view photos from the inside of The Miller online!)
The Squire is actually our largest cottage, and it is possible to attach it to The Knight by using the adjoining doors. It sleeps a maximum of 8 people.

Restaurant Review: Thai Time, Sandwich

A hidden gem in the little Cinque Port town of Sandwich, just a 10 minutes drive away from Pilgrims Nook is Thai Time, one of our all time favourite restaurants in the area.
DSC_1733 Thai Time is the reason we love Thai food. As well as a mouth watering traditional home cooked Thai menu in a beautiful setting, they also do take-away so you can take it back to enjoy in your cottage.

Yummy Thai crackers to nibble on with our Thai wine and beers while you wait for your food to arrive.

We usually order the same foods most of the time, because we just love our favourites! Something we have ordered every time without fail is the mixed starters for two. From the top, working clockwise we have sweet crispy noodles, chicken skewers with a satay dip, vegetable spring rolls with a sweet chilli dip, Paper Prawns (prawns and coriander wrapped in Thai pancakes in squares), mini Thai fishcakes and a yummy Thai style salsa.
We would also recommend their Thai style mussels. These are little mouthfuls of fishy, lemony goodness!
Delicious dish of mixed seafood containing fragrant chunks of salmon, prawns, squid and mussels.
A fantastic Pad Thai with prawns.
Sizzling Duck.
Coconut flan served with fresh cream.
Banana fritters served with honey and seeds (you can also as for it to be served with cream) - delicious!

Photos From Our Opening Weekend

To celebrate our opening weekend, we wanted to show you the first photos from the outside of our cottages and the surrounding patios and garden areas. These photos were taken late afternoon on one of the wonderfully warm days we've been having here down in Kent!
Here you can see The Miller, our only stand alone cottage.
The Squire, on the far left, and The Knight, our smallest middle cottage and its patio and BBQ area.
